 | | The story is about Hale, a 10 year old boy who lives with his mother Weda in a small village situated in a jungle. Hale's mom is a bit of a slob and likes to sleep in all day and party with her girl friends all night. Hale, cursed with a common sense greater than those around him, attempts to take things in stride when his mother unexpectedly brings home a "playmate" for Hale--a pretty little girl named Guu. But when Hale wakes up the next morning, Guu has transformed into a sullen, nasty and sarcastic joker who takes great pleasure in making Hale's life utterly miserable. Guu is a mysterious creature that can swallow anything and regurgitate it whole. She exhibits various other strange abilities and it is all Hale can do to shield those around him from her dangerous pranks. Poor Hale's stress level only goes up, as only he sees Guu's true personality. |
